The ob cant force me to have a c-section can he?
I`m currently 30 weeks pregnant with twins and am starting to get my birth plan ready. My ob has told me that most likely I will be having a c-section but I would really prefer natural birth (unless there is any complications).
If I insist on natural and there is no medical reason not to the ob cant force me to have a c-section can he?
Thanks for your help
It is really great that you are getting everything organised and planned. I really hope that everything goes well and you are able to have a vaginal birth. You need to speak to your doctor about this and your wishes so that he knows how you feel. If the babies are in a good position and they and you are healthy then you will have a very good chance of having a vaginal birth. The good news is that twins tend to be a bit smaller than single babies. However, many doctors believe that twins need a cesarean birth and yours may be the same. You can ask when he last had a natural birth of twins. If you are very strong in your desire to have a vaginal birth you may need to talk to the midwives at your local hospital or another hospital as to the best way to try for a vaginal birth as you may need to visit another health care professional for their opinion.
