The doctors EDD date is further along than our date by 2 weeks

Hi Alex,
Just wondering if you could please answer a simple question for me. My husband and i were trying for a baby and i worked out my ovulation times and all so we know when we fell pregnant give or take a few days also i have used 5 different Due Date Calculators on line to work out the EDD yet the doctors date they are going by is further along then our date by 2 weeks. Can you please tell me how this could be?

Sarah...
Answer: Hi, You need to use the first day of your last menstrual period to calculate your pregnancy dates rather than the conception date. The conception date is usually 2 weeks after the last menstrual period date. This may be where the differences are between dates. Best wishes, Alex
