I have heard that women who have c sections followed by a vaginal birth are putting themselves and the baby at risk

hi, i have heard that women who have c sections and then vaginal births are putting themselves and the baby at risk and that your previous incision will break open. is this true?

Answer: Hi, Thank you for your enquiry. There is a small risk that the scar from the caesarean will be stressed and the uterus can rupture but this is very rare. Women are closely observed during labour for any signs of such complications. In the most cases everything goes well and a vaginal birth causes no problems. Best wishes, Alex
