Huggies 12WBT feature blog - Week 2

Well week two started off with a high note! Having lost nearly two kg in the first week, I was excited about the possibility of losing more than that the second week.

Then it struck me – THE DREADED FLU. I kept up with my exercise for two days after I started to feel ill, but it then smacked me down like lightning to a tree. I was sentenced to bed and told not to do any activity, just rest. My mind kept saying, ‘If you rest, you are not going to win this battle of the bulge’. So I went against my doctor’s advice and figured I would just do a light training session the next morning. Not the smartest idea, as I was disoriented and every bone in my body was aching.

So I was stuck in bed for the rest of the week. Weigh-in Day came around and I very weakly stood on the scales. Disappointment set in – the numbers didn’t change and I had lost no weight. How
is this possible? I guess the good thing to take away from this week would be that I didn’t gain any weight.
