Huggies 12WBT wrap up!
As the year comes to a close, we’re reminded that all good things must come to an end. The Huggies team witnessed an amazing 12 weeks of motivated mums-to-be and mums be the best version of themselves!
The first ever Huggies partnership with Michelle Bridges’ 12 Week Body Transformation has produced some amazing results and really touching stories about mums who took the plunge in wanting to turn their lifestyle around for their families. This program partnership isn’t about losing weight, but caters exclusively for our members who want to keep fit and healthy while trying to conceive, during their pregnancy, post-pregnancy or just to become a better version of themselves and inspire their families.
But instead of us telling you all about it in all that marketing jargon, here’s a great testimonial from Huggies 12WBT participant, Megan from Victoria.
12 weeks ago I was feeling like something needed to be done. I needed a change. The email from Huggies came through but I was nervous about what I would have to eat, would I be able to exercise around 2 kids. I thought I ate well but my challenge was that I struggled to exercise around the kids.
I stood in the mirror and actually looked at myself. I didn’t just glance at what I was wearing to make sure I looked ok, I was critical. I examined myself as if I was someone else. I looked at all the bits of myself that I wasn’t happy with. And then made the decision to do 12wbt.
I would never call myself overweight but I wasn’t happy with myself. After 2 kids I was at least 5 kgs heavier than I wanted to be and definitely a little more wobbly than I wanted to be! When I was in high school I was a school aerobics champion, after school I worked at a gym doing admin and became an aerobics instructor and Body Balance instructor. Over the years as life changed, working a full time job further from home, having kids… life changed and I struggled to “get to the gym”. I thought that I “just need to exercise more”.
Boy was I wrong!
Your program showed me just how much my eating needed improving and how much of a difference that alone can make! I was stunned. There were weeks that I was great with exercise and weeks that I wasn’t so great. But that was ok, life happens, but I was able to focus on eating really clean so I didn’t feel like I was undoing my hard work. What I loved about the exercise portion of your program was the variety in types of programs. It showed me that I don’t have to be a member of a gym to get results. I followed your outdoor program and quite often my neighbours saw me run laps of our 50m long street while the kids were inside. I involved the kids too and they loved it. Now my 5yr old says to me every few days “can we exercise together today mummy”. I love that!!!
Yesterday I celebrated the end of the 12 weeks with a professional photoshoot on a yacht in the city. I had a spray tan, hair and makeup done, a new outfit and shared some champagne to calm my nerves, ha ha. It was lots of fun and I can’t believe I even had photos in my bikini in the middle of Williamstown Marina with all the boats going past!!!
So THANK YOU for showing me that it can be done, you just have to find the way to do it, and giving me my confidence back.

“I loved the programme but as a mum of two pre-schoolers, limited household space, limited back-up baby sitting support (effectively none except weekends), I found it challenging fitting the exercise routines in. I did the first 6-7 weeks, I often had to squeeze them in at nite (after 9 pm). Not ideal but i was still successful in losing weight. But after a while I found it hard trying to keep up with the exercise routine & burnt out a bit. I still fit in exercise when I can & stick to the diet & consequently the weight loss has slowed. But that’s ok as it’s more managable for me.”
