Summer is here!
Summer is here and it’s the perfect time to introduce your little one to swim safety, whether it’s in the backyard wading pool or the local swim centre.
For most little ones, the most important thing to have in the water with them is mum or dad, as well as their Huggies Little Swimmers of course.
Learning to swim is an exercise in trust for babies and toddlers, as this water stuff is all new to them and can be a bit scary!
My earliest swimming memory is sliding free style down a swim slide and spluttering to the surface thanks to my floaties. I’ve never enjoyed swimming as an adult, and it’s tempting to say my fear of water above waste height stemmed from this early experience (although this doesn’t explain my lack of skill in athletics, ball games and sport in general).
To help your little one make a splash this summer, Huggies new and improved Learn to Swim section has lots of tips for introducing your bub to water, and making it a memorable and fun experience for the whole family.
What are your top tips for getting your kids to feel comfortable and relaxed in the water?
