If your child has trouble pulling his or her pants off and on quickly, then this is the game for you.
Successful toilet training involves the mastering of many different skills. Undressing and dressing are two of the tougher skills to learn. They are also two of the most essential skills for successful and complete potty training. If your child has trouble pulling his or her pants off and on quickly, then this is the game for you.
All you need for this activity are music and your child. To start, have your child dress in Pull-Ups® and pants that are easy to slide up and down. Next, pick some upbeat, kid-friendly music. Turn on the tune, and encourage your child to wiggle, giggle and dance around the room. (Of course, you can join in this part, too.) When you think the time is right, shout, “Down!” At this point in the game, your child should slide his or her pants down to below the knees or to the ankles. During this time, remind your child to hold still, because walking with pants around the knees and ankles will be difficult and potentially dangerous. After a few seconds in this frozen position, shout, “Up!” At this point in the game, have your child pull his or her pants back up and continue to wiggle, giggle and dance. Go through these steps, pulling the pants up and down, until your child tires or loses interest.
Remember, your child might not master the skill on the first try, but playing over and over again will encourage future attempts and provide lots of immediate laughs.
