March/April 2013 Babies :D Rss

Hello mummies smile Just wondering how many other March/April babies are here.

My DS (3rd child) was born 4th/4th/2013, 1 week overdue, at 4 am, after a 48 minute labour weighing 4.02 kg.

I'm also in a secret group on facebook if anyone wants to join smile
Hiiii!!! Yeah I know. Life's been abit hectic! How have you been???? Congratz on your little man!! How's he settling in?
My baby girl was born on 18/4/2013 weighing 2.690kg (exactly 6lb) after a 2.5 hour labour after an induction at 39+4 for medical reasons.
She's my first baby.

Life does get hectic hey! Naw thanks hun smile his a champ his a good baby he is a smiling giggle pot the big kids adore him we all adjusted to one another perfectly smileHow's your new addition going sweetie Gosh time has flown by!

Aww that's awesome! Yeah my older 2 absolutely ADORE their little brother (for now anyway hehehehe). He was going ok, but needed surgery at 3 weeks because he developed pyloric stenosis. Now he's a cranky unsettled baby who isn't gaining weight very well. It makes things abit of a struggle, but when he's having a good moment, it's amazing!! I love having 3 kiddies. It's just when they all want you for something at the same time AND you have other jobs to do it gets chaotic hahaha. It all works out though hey wink

Hello stranger! Spud was born 22 March 2013 via c section so he was a few days shy of 39weeks and weighed in at 3.67kg He is also my third child. How are you finding having three? I think it's getting easier but everyone told me that number three would be so easy!! Liars lmao! Nah, he's easy- a very happy little guy but the girls are both at this stage where they're 'grown up' and their need for more independence is stressing me out laugh

3 is a handful. Keeping them all in line can prove difficult sometimes haha. But when they're in good moods I love it. My kids are generally well behaved so it's been ok. Just DS with his irritability makes things abit stressful. It does help that my oldest goes to school too tongue

DD1 (6) is so proud that she can hold DS. Sometimes I find her walking around with him in her arms. Far out!! Instant heart attack right there haha! I do trust her with him, be he's a really strong wriggler & can turn from happy to cranky super fast.

Naw ww3 that would be hard I had a quick google of it and far out poor lol man what a rough start to life he has had sad is he all good now like has the vomiting stopped?? Will he need further treatment gosh the surgery would of been so hard on you so nerve racking hugs sweetie xxxI'm glad the big girls adore him how sweet, you sure so have your hands full and with a wee one who has had such a rough start would be hard naw poor thing.

Thanks! DD2 had 2 surgeries at 9 weeks (1 day procedure & 1 emergency) so in a way, we knew what we were in for with DS's. It was hard though. Especially when we had 2 others who still needed our attention. We spent 8 days in hospital, then he had a wound infection afterwards which was so gross, puss everywhere, which gave us another 3 nights in hospital. His weight gain is really slow now too. And he has green mucussy poo. Waiting for an appointment for a paed at the moment but I really feel like they're not going to take it all seriously. Doctors frustrate me haha. He shouldn't need further treatment though.

Did your dd have the same problem hun?I cannot believe your lil guy has had such a rough start to life that's so sad sad do you have a idea what causes the green mucosy poop? When bubs had a cold and isn't drinking properly and gets the lets down not the hind milk as he gives up from his snotty nose I find his poop is green and mucosy. I hope they seriously listen to you. That's a long stay in hospital I really hope you have lots of support sweetie. Dd2 is getting her tonsils and adenoids out in 2 weeks she got apnea and snores and having behavioral problems, I have a meeting with the hosiptal on Friday there a bit worried as she's 3 and they haven't don't this on a wee one before (small hospital in a country town eeeep) but we have a specialist coming in to do it so not to stressed phew and literally packing my pants with fear! I couldn't imagine that you've Done the whole surgery thing a few times and with your newborn Your a strong muma hun cx

Nah DD2 was born with a kidney abnormality, she got a lot of UTI's as a young baby so they performed what they said was a 'simple' procedure to unblock an obstruction. While they were doing that they unknowingly perforated her bowel which landed her in emergency surgery 36 hours later. Very very close to losing her! We're not sure yet what's making his poop so funky. It's been like this for most of his life though & we've tried different things to make sure he's getting all the hindmilk etc but it makes no difference. I had to scrape his poo off his nappy today to send to the lab to test for lactose intolerance. Haha that was soooo gross! DP was standing there watching me "blob" it into the specimen jar saying "grooosss!!" And i'm like "Don't watch then!! How do you think I feel having to be the one to do it!!" it smells so bad too. If the paeds don't take me seriously I swear I have no idea where Im going to go next. Ahh that must be stressing you out abit hey! DD1 was on the waiting list to have hers out because of really bad apnoea. We took her off the list after a year because we hadn't heard anything & she seemed to be getting better. But now we're back on the wait list to see an ENT for grommets & have a sleep study done. I wish I'd just left her on the list in the first place!!! Glad there's a specialist coming to you's!! I'd have no faith if they haven't done that on someone so young lol.
My first baby was born 4 weeks early on 24th April. She was 2.87kg and 46cm. Perfectly healthy and so so fussy! Lol
I'd like to join your fb group. Do you have a link? Or can you PM?

It's amazing smile I have my good and bad days and doing it all on my own so I stress out sometimes. I love being a mum but its so hard.
Don't get me wrong, I absolutely adore my bub but sometimes I do wish I was more stable in life before having her smile

But it's awesome being a mummy.

Hi guys. My first baby was born on 24 March 2013. Smack bang on her due date....yay. I had a pretty easy going labour although it was long at 19 hours active & she had to be delivered by ventouse. We had some day sleep issues for her first 12 weeks of life and a couple of minor bf hiccups. once we sorted those out, life with baby has been overall really easy going and I still have OMFG I am a MUM moments regularly.I wouldn't mind joining the secret Facebook group!Congrats to all the other mamas!smile

You have a punctual little lady lol. My first was a fairly easy labour but was 26 hours so I know how you feel. I was sooooo exhausted by the end. Bahaha I still have those "OMFG im a mum" moments after 3 kids. 3rd baby & I still had bf difficulties at the start, but all going good now smile I'll post the link to my page so you can add me smile I'll remove the link at some point so don't quote the link please.

Sometimes DP only adds to my frustration!! lol. Sometimes I wish he had to spend longer away for work. I do love him, but things are so much more organised when he's at work. Plus he's a cranky daddy so the kids don't respond well to him. Does she still see her daddy? Does she have a good routine going so you know what to expect each day?
I'll keep you up to date with whatever I find out about his funky poo. I need answers!!

Yeah no amount of reassurance will help bugs haha. Nothing is stronger than that maternal instinct! But she'll be fine wink

I totally agree with your reply to Addies mum. I was young when I had my first (20) but the way I was, I wasn't going to mature lol. I think having kids has made me pull myself together, & made me realise a lot of things about myself! There are easy & hard days & no matter how old you are, you'll still have those kind of days.

Steph- what do you mean fussy? Do you mean with her feeds or she's particular with how she goes down for sleeps? Or something else altogether

Well nothing has been easy with miss lara. She started life with days and nights mixed up so screamed literally the WHOLE night at first until we figured out I wasn't producing much colostrum and she got jaundiced and lost too much weight. So I started pumping every 2 hrs and we got the feeding sorted.
She was and still is a very windy baby so thats a constant battle. At about 5-6weeks she went through 4 days of almost constant crying. We took her to hospital and they found nothing to be medically wrong.
Shes pretty good now, but her growth spurts are amplified compared to other babies I know. I think shes just a little sensitive and cries easily!!
