5 months and 9.5kilos Lock Rss

Just been to see the CYH nurse who has informed me that Mirabai is quite large for her age! Love to hear from other people that have large babys. My first son was really sick when he was little and as a result under weight for about two years, so this is a big change for me. She can't even grab her legs cause she has to many rolls in the way!

Love to here your stories.

hi there, i ahvent been told he is ovberweight but compared to my first son he is big. dylan is 13 weeks/3 months and is 7kilo! he is long and solid, not fat though.

My bub was 9.645kg at his 6 month weigh in. He's now 7 months, but hasn't slimmed down any. He has only just started grabbing his feet, but his stomach prevents them from going in his mouth like I've seen some babies do.

I do love having such a cuddly babe though - at least when I cuddle him I don't feel like I'm going to break anything.
My DD was 9.7kg at 5mths & 72cm,she has been of the chart in weight & length since she was born.
LOL gotta love the rolls,my DD had alot when she was born but now she only has one on each leg & they have just about disappeared.

Hi My boy Joe was 9.5kgs at 5 months and is now 11kgs at 6 months - he is 75 cms tall too - so he's a biggin!!
My hubby is 6ft 5 so we would have been shocked to have a little bubbie, but when I took Joe in to get weighed my CHN had just had in a 1 yr old who weighed the same.

Hi
I had my monster weighed last week, a couple days after he turned 4 months and he weighed 9.14kg!!! He is also 70.5cm long. Since birth he has been in the top percentage lines but this time with his weight he's way over the top but they're not worried as he has always been big. He too is trying very hard to eat his feet but can't get them anywhere close to his mouth with out my help but one of my development books say that it can take upto 6 months before some bubs can do it. Don't ya just love chubba bubbas!!! More of them to love!!!smile
Hi there, my Harrison is just six months and when last weighed at 5.5mths was 9.4kilo so very similar!!
He was 9lb1 born and 55 cm long - he is a chubber too but is sooo cute, my little girl now 5yrs was also big, always at the top of the charts with weight gain and length, she is now a slim but tall georgous girl, I think her brother is going to be very tall!!

I love all those rolls, nice big healthy bubs...

My 11 month old weighs about 9.7 kilo's, but because he is short we get alot of comments about it, a few months ago we were at the childrens hospital getting checks done on his bladder & this guy who was giving him a needle asked us if we see a Maternal & Child health nurse & asked what does she think about him being so fat. That was so rude, at least he his as healthy as he can be.

I love my beautiful boy - he's 11 months old and weighs 12 kgs - he's always been a big boy - I had to go to a specialist for scans during pregnancy where he was growing a pound a week from 33 weeks - by 36 weeks he was 8lbs5oz. At 6 months I went to the health nurse and found out he had dropped out of the highest percentile - I knew something was wrong. I went to my doctor to discover my mild had gone because I was pregnant again! yippee. I love having a bigger baby - the cuddles are better, the play wrestles are better - they eat well - and as soon as they start walking and running around they all trim down! They're just babies - beautiful beautiful angels and if anyone has anything negative to say they must have no idea what a blessing it is to have a healthy baby in the first place. I say make the most of your big bubba - they're not babies for long. Good luck to you and your precious bundle - no matter what size she is!
