Eczema and washing powder/liquid Lock Rss

Hi all,

My son suffers from eczema and allergies (quite severely when exposed to allergens). I was wondering if anyone could recommend a washing powder or liquid that I could use on his clothes. Everything I've tried so far sets him off (even if I put his clothes through an extra rinse cycle), so I've only been washing his clothes in hot water.

Thanks in advance

I use radient and found that it does not cause my kids skin to break out but it is also possible that they have grown out of the eczema now. But as babies it was all I could use. Another suggestion is sunlight pure soap flakes and using a handful in each wash instead of commercial soap powders this also worked wonders and all I used on nappies.

Hope you find something that works.

currently being updated please check back later.

I use Surf Sensitive, it works well and so far none of my 3 kids have reacted to it.. fingers crossed!!
I use Radiant - Sensitive ( purple Lid) and have found its the only washing liquid that doesnt affect my son
My son also has eczema and we've been to see a skin specialist at Westmead Hospital. He has suggested using Amolin washing liquid which is available at Woolworths. Hope this helps.

the only washing powder I found so far that doesn't react with my DS is the Napisan babycare. It's not cheap so I buy in bulk when its on special.

I found Amolin Sensitive Skin works for my boy's excema and my psoriasis. Whatever you choose, the pediatrician recommended to stick with it, and try not to change it. Good luck!

I have suffered from excema all of my life and he only thing that doesn't set it off is persil and you can get the sensitive one now as well. My mum was told to use it when I was little.

My excema was so bad as a baby my mum had to boil my nappies to stop any reactions.

We use this

Its fantastic! But I am not sure where you can get it unless you know someone that is part of the company. You may be able to find a number on the website to call though.

I use Purity Laundry Liquid on my bubs clothes- she suffers excema too wink]

I use Am-o-lin Sensitive laundry liquid and Purity fabric softner.

Snugglepot and Cuddlepie!!

I am the same, Amolin has worked wonders with my sons skin. When he was really bad, I used just Lux flakes. These were a little time consuming to prepare, but it was very sensitive on my sons skin.
