chin quivering Lock Rss

My 8 1/2 mth old has started to quiver his chin, is it the same as when they discover they can cough, So they just do it cause they can? Or should I get it checked out??

I have never noticed our daughter, Mackenzie do that. I know you can tell when she is going to cry because her chin kind of screws up if you know what I mean but never seen that. It might be an idea to ask the nurse or doctor next time you see one of them, it might be like coughing though.

Good luck,

Stephanie, NSW, Mother of Mackenzie

I have read somewhere that this is "one of those things" that babies tend to do (along with grunting, coughing etc). If you are concerned, I'd see someone, but they would probably tell you the same thing.

Debbie, QLD, gorgeous daughter

My daughter does that when she is tired - very cute - the dummie wobbles! Jen

HI thanks for your replies, It looks as though he was doing it because he could... it seems he has stopped quivering his chin for now buthe has taken up twisting his tounge - argh kids!! Anyone else's babies into doing strange things like this??
