High Chair - what brand? Lock Rss

love ikea high chair. cheap and light. legs come off into 4 poles. youn put it in the boot and take it with you on holidays or over to the inlaws for lunch.
We have Steelcarft Messina and we like it, but I honestly find any high chair good that we have used while at parties or restaurants, as long as it has a high back and straps. I also think having the option to recline (for the younger baby) and a washable tray insert comes in handy but you could get away not having those things, to be honest i bought the one we have cause it was on special at Baby Bunting
We have a steelcraft hi-lo chair as well. it reclines has a top tray you can take off and sits at the regular hichair height or has about 5 setting on the way down and goes all the way to the floor. its great if we are feeding DD from a kitchen stool we can have it all the way up or if we are on the couch or outside it can be halfway down but lately we have just been keeping it all the way down to the ground and she can climb into it herself which is great as we are expecting again and i am not suppose to lift her much.
is also has hooks on the back to hook the tray and you just have to push 2 buttons and it compacts and we just slide it in next to the fridge. it cost a bit more but oh boy it was worth it. its also really easy to clean. DP just hoses it out once a week.

Mum to Tayla and Jack, Expecting December.

We have the Fisher Price 3 in 1 high chair.
It's a normal high chair, you can remove the seat from the legs and strap it to a normal chair or just use it on the groud (good when going into town to the inlaws as they don't have a high chair there), you can also remove the tray and the back and use it as a booster seat when baby is older which again just straps to a normal chair.
It has 5 different height adjustments.

I haven't had a problem with it at all. Lucky for me my son doesn't make too much mess at the moment. But the messes that he does make in the tray are cleaned up with a damp paper towel in no time.

It's got what i think they call a 5 point safety harness, and a padded insert.

I got it off ebay brand new for $175 including postage.
You can purchase them from selected big w stores for $198 not on special.

I know a number of people who swear by the ikea chair.
We're also looking at getting a bumbo for our little one when she needs a chair (still a bit little). For $100 you get the seat and a tray, its soft and can be put on any flat surface, such as the dining table, without slipping. The only downside would be once little ones can move about they may try to get out by themselves. But you can take them anywhere!

we have a Chicco 'Polly' highchair in the green and pink.
it is honestly the best highchair ive used. easy to clean, easy to move around etc. highly reccomend it!

I love the Ikea, mums got one at her house when we visit. We have the child care it's sturdy, has a harness, removable padding (we took ours out because we wanted to be able to just hose out the high chair if necessary, or wipe down REALLY easily) and it doesn't cost an arm and a leg, I think it was between $60-90 can't remember exactly I got it from baby buntings. We. Got given a second hand prima papa perfect condition-food gets stuck down the side of the padding it sits in our carport now, I found it unhygienic and I believe they're expensive. I just don't see a reason to spend hundreds of dollars on something bubs will sit in for 1/2 hour 3 times a day for two years when there are more simple safe chairs that do the same thing, just my opinion though.
