I always changed my DD at night other wise her nappy would leak. When it leaked I would end up having to change her and the cot - very annoying.

Now she is on solids and mostly sleeping through I don't have to change her. I have her in bigger nappies than her weight calls for so she doesn't leak - yippee!

I don't believe 'not' changing a nappy will help your son sleep through as he is waking for a feed any-way. I think they sleep through until they are ready and not much you do will help them.

I wouldn't expect your son to sleep through till 6 months old. That way, if he does start doing it earlier - it will be a nice suprise !!!

DD is 3yr 8 months - DS is 6 months

i used to feel bad when other mums wouldnt change their baby's nappy through the night. But if they are up for a feed i think you should change them. (personal opinon) once i started on a bottle at night and no boob i left him laying in the cot for his feed and just replaced it with the dummy when he was finished, and he would go straight back to sleep - wouldnt need a burp or anything.

So all i can suggest is, do what you think is right! if bubby wakes up for a feed, and is really unsettled and doesnt want a feed i would change just for the sake of doing it. Good luck, and im sure youll get through it! -Kayden 31.1.05 & Tianah 25.8.06
