EARLY WAKING-DAYLIGHT SAVINGS. Lock Rss

Has anyone got any advice for me?

My 11 month old daughter used to be a good sleeper generally going down at 7pm and sleeping till 5.30-6am and now she has been waking at 4am and isnt self settling her self, and no matter how hard i try and settle her she just doesnt want to go back to sleep.

I phoned the tresillian hotline and the nurse suggested that i try and re-settle her and if this doesnt work then i should feed her at 5am. I just dont know what to do as i dont want her to get in the habbit of waking early for a feed as she has not had a feed in the night since 4 months old.

Can anyone make a suggestion as to what i could do?? I am starting to be a very sleep deprived mum!!
Yep my DD did the same it can take up to a week for them to get back into their normal waking time. I suggest putting her to bed at the same time you usually do which may mean fitting in a quick cat nap 30mins to get her through until bedtime.

I'm with you Fee, getting them hooked on those feeds especially when they are nearly 1 is kind of scary. 4am is rather early too - you poor bugger. Does your DD play in her cot or wake / sleep (on and off) when she wakes up in the morning? Or does she want out immediately - lol? Maybe you can try leaving her in there a bit longer each morning and see what she does.

That is such a tough one, you must be feeling crap !

DD is 3yr 8 months - DS is 6 months
