He struggles to stay awake for more than 2hrs between naps durung the day!

Hi, my daughter is around 6months (bout 6.5) and two weeks ago everything went out the window! She started napping terribly and waking every two hours at night. And now this week seperation anxiety has hit hard and she will not sleep in her cot. But I think things are getting better...
She wakes around 7:30, and is back in bed within 2 - 2.5 hours, for a 40min or so nap. Then she is up for around 3 hours and back down for a 40min nap, then awake for another 3 hours (sometimes 4), and then another 40min nap! then up for 2 hours and then to bed for the night - soemtime between 7-9. Although somedays one of her day naps will go for just over an hour. And then on a rare occasion she'll sleep for 2.5 hours - but when she does that she only has two naps in the day.
AS for the night time - tonight was the first time I have ever left her to cry and done the whole cry-it-out thing, it was horrible, but she is asleep and in her own bed! fingers crossed it's for the whole night!
