Just wondering if the skins on potato are ok for my 6 month old to eat. i blend up the potato so it's not the issue of chunky bits i'm worried about, more just the content and nutritional value, if it's neccessary?
I think the rule of thumb is to peel all vegetables and fruits. I am an allergy sufferer and I was told to peel the skin off potatoes quite thick as I am allergic to what is in it. The skins affect a lot of people, so I would be cautious and remove them - but thats just me!!
With potato skins make sure they are well washed as the dirt can be harmful but as with all skins that is where most of the goodness and esp fibre is.
