Do babies lose their apetite while teething ? Lock Rss

My 8.5 month old daughter was good with her solids..she still does eat well most of the time, but if i give her little boiled rice with vegs, she makes a fuss..is it to do with the food being bland or is it becoz i fork mash her food and she is not happy about the texture ? She eats cheese, yogurt, cereal etc well. The healthnurse has told me not to add any salt to her food.

With my experience I found they do...mainly when they are in the most pain. All 3 of mine have all been the same and go off most of their food during teething.

Oh...maybe try offering harder and cooler food to help relieve the discomfort.

Yep, my bub has been off her food too (she still eats but not nearly as much as b4). She just cut her first tooth yesterday so obviously that explains it. She also had runny bum and nappy rash which she's never had before, and cried out (seemingly in pain) for no apparent reason.
