HOW DO YOU COOK THICKER AND LUMPIER FOODS?? Lock Rss

Hi Mums,

I'm not much of a cook so i need your help. My daughter is nine onths and i am now trying to make her fruits and vegies with more texture. I just to puree everything.

So if i want to make a batch say of sweet potato up do i just dice it and then steam it, or steam a potato and then dice it..... ....

Or if you mash there food is that enough texture???

Please help me.

Thanks Ella's mumma
Instead of using a food processor etc just mash the food with a fork.

Hi Ella's mumma

I make the food the same as b4 (pureed) but then I add small cooked pasta or steamed rice (whole). Risoni pasta or other soup pastas are really good and my bub took to them straight away. You can cook some up and keep in the fridge for 3 days and then just add to the other pureed food you've prepared. Couscous is also great as you can just put a small amt into a bowl and add some boiling water a few mins before mealtime!

I also mash potato and sweet potato, but puree all other vegies and meat.

Hope this helps!
