Green Veggies ! Lock Rss

I was wondering at what age you introduced green veggies and how you prepared them. My DD is eating lumpy food now - doing really well so far. I'd like to give some-thing green a go, maybe peas or beans. Also, are there any greens you would steer clear of?

DD is 3yr 8 months - DS is 6 months

hi Kazi, Matt has been having broccoli for awhile now. I puree it with sweet potato and lamb for his dinner. Zucchini is ok, but he finds it way too bitter. He is also having peas in his night time meals. I don't puree these so much as they are pretty squishy anyway!

You can introduce green vegies around the 6 month mark which is when you should be starting to give solids. I have heard that you should steer clear of certain gassy causing green things in babies but this really is just a load of rubbish.

I found the best way to prepare any vegies was to steam them to keep all the nutrients in.
