6 month old feeding patterns Lock Rss

HI all

My 6 1/2 month old has been on solids for nearly a month now, and since then he has been waking up for an extra feed.

He used to go off to sleep around 5pm and wake around 12/1am, but now he also wakes up for a bottle a 10pm.

I thought that when they start solids, they should start sleeping through the night.

He is still having bottles just about every four hours.

Is this normal?
What are your bubs feeding patterns?

All the best

Hi Zacs mum,

I also originally thought solids would solve all my sleeping problems, but they never did. I personally think it is all about sleep training, and teaching your children to sleep thru.

Rarely, do i put my kiddies to bed, and, let them out if they won't sleep. It will take over an hour of painstaking crying to do that... but it has worked for us. We do go in to reconsole, but they never get back out again till they have slept.

So my thoughts would be, just to try and resettle him, and don't offer a feed. Give him a few moments of crying, then go in and tuck him back in. For me it was a dummy, and his F & P aquarium.

Best of luck,
