How many milk feeds per day - 5.5 month old? Lock Rss

Hi.

Was just wondering how many feeds my son should be having at this age.

He is currently feeding at
6.00am (breast)
8.00am (rice cereal - 2 tea spoons)
10.00am (breast)
1.00pm (Formula - 180 ml)
4.30pm (breast)
9.30pm/10.00pm (Formula)

i.e 5 milk feeds and one solids (small amount)

Not too sure he should be having the late feed? (Maybe I should let him decide this?

Hi there,

When my daughter was 4 months old we dropped her rollover feed as she would only drink half of it. Our chn said see how you go if she wakes up during the night try and resettle and if that doesn't work feed her and the next night continue to give that feed and try again another time. Ella slept straight through the night no worries. During the day she did drink a little more to compensate. See how you go he will let you know if he is hungry!!!

Hello how are you... I have a 6 month old little boy who is on solids twice a he is still having 5 bottles somedays its less and some days its more... I always got told that when it comes to giving or taking away bottles let your baby knoww hwat he or she wants, he will soon tell you if the 5th bottle is too much...
