Breastfeeding covers Lock Rss

Did you buy or use a breastfeeding cover? if so was it beneficial? Seems like a great idea, just trying to watch my pennys so don't want to buy one if if won't really be utilised.
Are you talking about those nipple shields so the baby can suckle through them while bf? huh
No. Personally I think they draw more attention to what you are doing than if you don't use one. Besides, when you have a nosy baby who wants to see what is going on while they are being fed the cover will probably be pulled down/off and tossed across the room. laugh

Persoonally I never had or used one. When feeding at home I felt that I shouldn't have to cover my babies in their own home just to make others comfortable. Out and about you very quickly get good at being discreet but if you are self conscious or you think you will feel uncomfortable feeding in front of others then might be a handy idea.

Haha, yeah your probably right. The only reason I am looking into it is because I am a very shy self conscious person. Maybe I'll wait until after it's born an see how I go!!
I got a breastfeeding cover on eBay for about $25 (new), which is about half the price they are in shops. I LOVE it! It has made me really comfortable to BF anywhere. I used it at my sister's 21st and was chatting to one of her male friends while BFing, without making him uncomfortable - in fact I don't even think he realised what I was doing lol! It's also really good for keeping a nosy baby focussed on feeding. Can't recommend them enough smile
I just used a muslin wrap! I got like 10 of them from my baby shower! does the same thing!
I just used a baby blanket.

Oooookay...im thinking different to others! laugh
I should also say that my bub was a disaster to attach for about 3 months, and I still have to do the nipple manipulations to get him on properly. Its much less horrible to wrestle with him covered, and because it's hanging around my neck he cant pull it off wink

Haha sorry. It's a cover in a nice material that you can clip around your neck to cover you and baby for discreet breastfeeding smile

Yes you are laugh. It's basically a cloth long enough to cover you and bub when you breastfeed, that has an adjustable strap around your neck and that has boning around the neck so you can look down and see bub.

Basically means you can discreetly feed bub in public.

laugh Alrighty then! laugh
