I found that Fenugreek tea was helpful. You can also get it in a capsule, but as you have trouble swallowing them, guess the tea would be a better option. I put one teaspoon of fenugreek tea in about 1.5 cups of water in a saucepan on the stove and simmer gently for about 5 mins or so. It turns sort of a golden colour. It doesn't really taste of anything too much and I found that if I had it warm, not hot it tasted much better. So I just put a couple of ice cubes in it and then drank it. If you find it's terrible to take, you could add honey to it, but I wouldn't add sugar.
I had about 2-3 cups of this a day and I found it helped quite a bit.
