concieving twins Lock Rss

is it possible to conceive twins 2 days or 6 weeks apart? i have been told it is but this seems strange. please can you answer this question for us.
Hi,

Thank you for your enquiry. It is possible to conceive non-identical twins one to two days apart if a woman releases two eggs during ovulation. Once a woman is pregnant, however, she cannot conceive another child during that time. The pregnancy hormones take over and no ovulation occurs. So you can’t get pregnant twice 6 weeks apart. Identical twins result when one egg separates during the early stages of conception and becomes two babies.

I hope that this answers your question.

Best wishes,

Alex.
