natural birth after two caesareans Lock Rss

I am pregnant with my third child. My first two children born six and eight years ago were born by caesarean section due to not dilating. What are my chaces of having a natural birth this time round or do i have to have a caesarean.

Thank you for your enquiry. It is hard to predict what may happen on this occasion. Sometimes the reason for you not dilating during labour is that the baby just won’t fit. I t would be great if you could talk to your medical team from your previous babies to see if they can offer a reason. You can also look at checking the size & shape of your pelvis. Some professionals do not offer the chance of a vaginal birth after 2 previous caesarians, you should check this too. If you want to try for a natural birth you may need to enquire elsewhere as many professionals now offer this option.
Best wishes,
