cramps?? Lock Rss

I get these bad cramps in my legs when i sit still or lay down too long, why is this??
And will it affect my labor and how can I prevent the cramps???

amanda nsw mum of 2 preg with 3rd

Thank you for your enquiry. Cramps in the legs are quite common in pregnancy. It is a good idea to try to raise your legs when sitting and if a cramp occurs – to stretch the limb. That is to straighten your leg and flex your toes towards your body. Try to also have a healthy diet and include foods with potassium, such as bananas, and drink plenty of water as this may prevent the cramps. Cramps should have no effect on your labour.

Best wishes,
