labour Lock Rss

i would like to know some ways to bring on a labour
Thank you for your enquiry. There are several things that you can try to assist the start of labour. Walking is a great way to prepare for labour and it improves your fitness too. Try to go a little further each day but don’t over do it. Walking is also great in early labour as it helps your body stay relaxed and it keeps your mind off things. Other things to try are warm baths, hot curries and nipple stimulation. Nipple stimulation is a good way of slowly getting your body organized in to labour. You start off by stimulating one nipple for a short time (5 mins) and then the other nipple. You can build this up to a few times a day. Sometimes labour can take a while to establish with your first baby, try to continue doing your normal routine, keep eating and not get too tired as it may take quite a few hours for established labour to commence.
