sore hips-help Lock Rss

i was wondering if anyone could have an idea of what could be happening with my hips.. they have been sore for the past few days, a bit like they have come slightly out of joint. i had the same feeling after i gave birth to my daughter a year ago but only on the one side, but never had this feeling while i was pregnant. i dont know i find it hard to walk, it hurts more if i am sitting and then stand up, and turning over in bed at night last night i was almost in tears.

i am almost 33 weeks along with my next pregnancy, i thought maybe it was my body getting ready for letting the baby down. i havent had any presure in the pelvis as of yet.

Hi Larissa,

This sounds so familiar to me.. I was like that for the last 8 weeks of my pregnancy, my DR. told me it was just the pressure of bubs and the weight your legs have to support..

I hated going to bed at night as the pain was so bad.. Even sitting in the one spot for to long or even standing in the one spot!

If your worried maybe go and see your GP to put your mind at ease..

Good luck with Bubs

Alicia

Hi Larissa,
Thank you for your enquiry. The problems with your hips are related to the hormone changes during pregnancy. This can be quite a common occurrence. You need to tell your carers and they may refer you to more specialist care such as a physiotherapist who can help.
Best wishes,
Alex.
