breast feeding and night sleep Lock Rss

My 4 1/2 month old son refuses to drink from a bottle, spout, cup etc., will only accept breast. How can I encourage him to take the bottle so I can have a break. He would happily go from breast to bottle when younger. He now even refuses to take the dummy. Have tried different brands, shapes and sizes with no luck. He would rather cry for 2 hours than drink from a baby bottle !!! Not even dad has any luck.

He wants to feed every 3 hours at night and this is quite draining for me - I'm desperate for a good night's sleep. He started solids, loves to eat but seems to make no difference to sleeping at night. Breast feeds for about 30 minutes at a time.

Please help.

Can I suggest that you speak to your health nurse on this issue she is better equipped to answer this question.

All the best
Cheers Maree
