10 wks & constant waking Lock Rss

I have a 10 wk old that has never slept more than 4 hours during the night. He goes to bed awake at 7pm and has a "dream feed" at 10pm. He then wakes at 2am and 6am (at 6am I cuddle him and give him his dummy in my bed to get to 7am). He is getting quite good at settling himself to sleep but I don't know how to stretch him more than 4 hourly during the night. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
We don’t recommend offering a rollover or dream feed until 6 months of age and this is introduce when trying to get a baby to sleep right through the night.

At 10 weeks you would still expect to be feeding once or twice even through the night for at least a few more weeks and then one feed would be enough by 4 months.
I wouldn’t wake baby at 10pm rather let him go until he wakes on his own, and if waking more than twice I would use some settling techniques rather than feeding
You can get details of our program on Your Baby’s Sleep page or from <a href="It's time to sleep</a"http://www.itstimetosleep.com/">It's Time To Sleep DVD&BOOK.

Best of luck

It's Time to Sleep

How funny, my 8 week has the exact same routine as your baby. Exactly the same, even giving the dummy at 6am. I also wake him at 10pm for a feed. When he wakes at 2am I only offer one breast. This routine was recommended to me by my sister who got this info from Karitane
