waking 2-3 times a night at 11months old?? Lock Rss

Hi Maree,
thank you for your advice regarding putting my son to sleep a few months ago, he now goes to sleep minimum of fuss and we are often rewarded with smiles at bedtime rather than screams that could wake neighbours for miles.
I really appreciate it thank you!
Now however we have a new problem with his sleeping or rather feeding.
He wakes up 2-3 times a night for feeds now and Im not sure what to do about this so any advice would be great. (he's 11 months old now)
Thank you so much!

Glad to hear you have made such progress. With the night feeding you could try giving a rollover feed.

A rollover feed is given after 6 months of age to babies who still constantly wake for night feeds.
Put baby to bed about 7.30 and then at 10pm wake very gently, no lights, no nappy change unless it’s dirty, and offer a feed, resettle using the techniques. When baby wakes at say 2am you can then apply the settling techniques straight away without picking him up, knowing confidently that he’s not hungry.

Good luck, Cheers Maree
