Daylight saving - no success with delay to sleep Lock Rss

Hi there
My four month old on a good day goes to bed at 6pm, wakes at 5.30am for a feed, plays for a while then back to sleep until 8am. On a bad day its 5pm, 4.30am, 7am.

With daylight saving finishing, I've tried to use the delay to sleep tactic but it doesn't work as he just gets over tired and cannot stay up the extra 10 mins, gets so tired that the next day he wants to go to bed earlier to make up for it. He just seems too young to cope with the tactic suggested on the website.

I was thinking about waking him at 8pm (after a 5pm bedtime to help reset his body clock. Do you think this would work or do you have any other suggestions?
Hi,
I would continue to follow the usual routine as best you can, it takes about 1 week for all our body clocks to adjust.
Cheers Maree
