wanting to sleep in my bed! Lock Rss

My 2 1/2 year old daughter has in the last two weeks taken to waking up in the early hours of the morning and tries to climb into bed with us.

We get up and put her back in her own bed, but an hour later she will come back and try again. After the second attempt she will stay in her room and go back to sleep.

She doesn't cry or anything when she wakes up. I am just wondering if it is a phase she is going through or is there something else going on that I don't know about. She has increased her eating at night so she can't be hungry in the early hours of the morning and she is never wet when she wakes up.

Thank you for you help.

It sounds like she is just trying you out to see if you will let her in bed with you. I think that she really knows she’s not supposed to hop in because she is staying in bed the second time you put her back. I think if you just keep putting her back she is going to get the hint fairly quickly.

Good luck, Maree
