wont sleep in cot Rss

Hi, i have a 5 week old baby boy who refuses to sleep in hiscot and will only sleep in bed with us. When he was first born he slept in our room and often ended up in the bed at night... now he wont sleep anywhere else. My husband has gone back to work and we are trying to relocate our baby back into his cot. He sleeps all night in our bed from 11 til 7 but he will only sleep in his cot for 20 tp 30 mins or so before crying until we pick him up and bring him to bed with us. We tried wrapping him for comfort but he hates it. Any ideas on what we can do to keep him in his cot??

Hi,

It seems that your baby now associates sleep with you, and if you want to change this you will need to implement some settling techniques to teach him to sleep independently. I suggest you follow the settling routine on Your Baby’s Sleep page. You will need to be persistent as baby learns from repetition.

Good luck, Maree
