3:00am waking Lock Rss

I am a mother of a 2 1/2 year old and a 10month old baby. My 2 1/2 year old boy wakes up screaming at 3:00am almost on the dot every night. If I don't get up to settle him he gets out of bed and comes into our room still crying. He does settle back to sleep fairly easily but his crying generally wakes up my 10 month old baby who sleeps in the same room. He takes somewhat longer to settle. Because he has been disturbed, he then wakes up periodically until about 6:00am when he decides that it is playtime.

Do you have any suggestions.....I rarely get any sleep from 3:00am onwards.

How do you get you son to sleep initially, if he is not going to sleep awake into bed on his own then he may not know how to sleep independently.
When he wakes take him straight back to bed quickly and quietly and let him know it’s time to sleep.
You need to work on the older son first and then deal with any waking from the little one later.
