day time cat napper: How to resettle?? Lock Rss

Hi Maree,

I am after some effective re-settling techniques for a 6.5 month old serial cat napper. He will only ever sleep for one 40min sleep cycle during the day. How can i persuade him to sleep for longer? He is good at self settleing and sleeps 10.5hours overnight (now).

Any suggestions appreciated.

Hi,
Try using our settling techniques to resettle him, they offer a clear and repetitive message that it’s time to sleep. Try resettling for up to 20mins but if no luck get him up and try again later.
Don’t make a battle out of it.
You can get an overview of our settling program from the <a href=" https://www.huggies.com.au/BeingAParent/YourBab... Baby’s Sleep</a> section of the Huggies site or for more detail, and a visual demonstration, from <a href="It&#39;s time to sleep&lt;/a" />It's Time To Sleep</a> DVD&BOOK.

Cheers Maree
