My 2 year old keeps getting up and takes hours to resettle Lock Rss

My 2 year old daughter was always a good sleeper, I could put her down, come out and shut the door and that was it for the night. A few weeks ago she has started getting up during the night, she comes in to our bed, but I get up and take her back to hers. I have to sit next to her bed, until she goes to sleep, or she just cries and hops straight out again.
She has started doing this at least twice a night, and it can take an hour to resettle her. My husband is up at 5 every morning to go to work, this leaves me without about 3 hours sleep. Last night I was in tears whilst sitting beside her bed, I'm so tired, I don't know what to do.
Can anyone suggest anything I should be doing?

Please accept my apologies for the delay in responding to your query.

You need to get her straight back into bed and leave quickly and quietly, let her know this is not okay with you and won’t be accepted. No matter how many times it takes in one night. As your daughter was a good sleep you should be able to nip this in the bud.
Cheers Maree
