Make sure you check your tenancy agreement. I rent a 2 bedroom property which in theory is plenty of room for us and our soon to arrive baby. However, my tenancy agreement outlines that a maximum of 2 people can reside in the property (my husband and I). This means that having a baby in the rental property will be in breach of the tenancy agreement and my landlord has the right to ask us to leave.

There is an option to ask your landlord/property manager to amend the agreement to increase the number of people allowed to live in the property to include your child, but if they are not willing to do this then you will need to move.
