How to clean cat urine from carpet & remove odour ??? Lock Rss

We left our lovely cat in the house a few weeks ago by mistake (he has a habit of hiding sad.gif ), and he peed on some laundry, which soaked into the carpet.

I have tried white vinegar & water, then covered it in bi-carb soda, but I cant get the smell out! Its half urine half vinegar now, and the smell is making me sick.gif (doesnt help that I have MS too).

What should I do?????
Call to the carpet cleaning service. I suggest to look at here. These guys know their business. I hired them for cleaning my carpet from iron stains and they fixed it in a few hours. So don't waste time on self-made means.
Haha! That's some naughty cat you got there. It's been almost a week since you posted the query. Has your problem resolved? I hope you get your carpet odourless (especially off the cat-ish-smell). Did you choose to go with the dry-clean? Or washed it yourself? (That seems highly impossible and illogical also). Anyhow, those are just some risks associated with keeping a pet animal. I'm, therefore, always wary of such impulses. My partner never allows in our home.
Hi everyone! Just wanted to share how I got rid of the smell. I did the same thing: vinegar, baking soda, and after that you should sprinkle the spot with another solution you can make at home. Use 3/4 cup of three percent hydrogen peroxide (you probably have some in your bathroom) with 1 teaspoon of dish detergent. Test a small spot first because if the solution is too strong it can bleach the carpet. Then, work the baking soda into the carpet and then let everything dry for a few hours. Once it's good and dry, vacuum the excess baking soda. Hope it helps!

Sometimes it's really hard to clean carpets, but flat surface's floor as well.
Totally agree. mellow
Our family always had problems with complete cleaning of the floor, because we have 2 dogs, 2 cats and our children, but fortunately we found great article on the web about comprehensive cleaning of the floors (https://cozyhousetoday.com/best-ways-to-clean-m...) and nowadays - from us it's a problem at all. If you still being in need - you can read it, maybe you'll find some useful info, as well.
