Alcohol vs Breastfeeding Lock Rss

Can anyone please tell me what you can & can't do with this.

I am very confused about what is right or wrong.

I understand you are only allowed to consume up to 2 drinks per day and if you are to drink anything it is to be had immediately after a feed so it has a good 3 or so hours to pass out your system. Is this correct?

Also, if you decide to have a night off (whether your going out or not) and bottlefeed your bub what is the procedure for the next day? Do you continue to bottlefeed your bub the whole next day incase you still have alcohol in your system? How long after can you breastfeed again? And any expressed milk obviously has to be thrown out right?

Someone please help me on this one!

I am pretty sure there is a post in the health section about this same topic under 'Baby'

There are plenty of old wives tales about how much/when to drink but at the end of the day its up to you. As long as your not going out and getting plastered and breastfeeding an hour after u get home im sure u will be ok. Everything in moderation.

Take care. and Good luck!
