REHEATING BREASTMILK Lock Rss

Im just starting my baby on a bottle with expressed milk.

Today I expressed and placed the milk in the fridge, Later I heated the milk and fed baby but she only had a small amount so I put the milk back in the fridge.

Is it ok to reheat this milk again and use it again.

GIRL,JAN 06

No, after reheating you must discard any unused portion, it cannot be reheated.

there are some general rules to expressed milk.

stores in fridge (at back where it is coldest) 3-5 days.

stores in freezer 3 months

defrost freezer milk in fridge, it will last 24 hours.

you can defrost freezer milk in warm water, but must use by next feed.

hope this helps!
