Help! - I can't find a meaning! Lock Rss

I'm 17 weeks pregnant and have been searching for the meaning of Kenai (pronounced Key-Nigh) for a boys name. I believe its a Inuit name (Alaska) but haven't been able to find the meaning!
Can anyone help?

Sarah, NZ, Pregnant

What does the word "Kenai" mean?
The exact meaning of the word "Kenai" is not real clear. The Dena’ina Athabascan Indians are the native people of the area. In the Dena’ina language, "Ken" translates into "big flat." "Ken’ey" means two big flats with a river cutback, and the word "ken’e" means trees and brush that are growing in a swampy marsh. I've been told it basically translates into "flat, barren land

This is off a web site about the place in Alaska, not a name meaning as such. Good Luck.

My DS loved Brother Bear and Kenai is his favorite character.
