can u help? Lock Rss

My husband and I really like the name Layla for a girl, but we're not sure on how we would spell it...
we've come up with: Laila, Layla, Leyla, Laylah... does anyone else know a Layla? Also does anyone else know the true meaning? Everytime we look it up, we find different meanings and origins...

Hi,

I have friends with a daughter Layla, the meaning in my name book is, Arabic - born at night

There is a newsreader (for channel 9 I think?) called Leila McKinnon. (Pronounced Layla). I think it is a beautiful name. I think it is a name of an Eric Clapton song too which is a nice song.

Firstly I like the name you have chosen.

Secondly, as for the spelling I think you need to have the 'Y' in her name. Without the y it may get confused for:

Leila - lee la
Laila - ly la
