Does REUBY look like a boys name

HI
My hubby is Reuben and he likes Ruby but i want it spelt different but because i call him Reuby im not sure if it looks like a boys name written or if its just me used to using it for hubby.
Pregnant with #3 unsure of sex.
We buy our kids their number plates with their names on when born: of course Ruby is taken, so must spell it a different way if we go for this name.

I agree with VKW - Ruby is a girls name to me regardless of how its spelt, its still pronounced the same. Sorry sad

Reuby sounds like a boys name by the spelling although it wouldn't be used as a boys name. I like the traditional spelling of Ruby if you're set on that name. It shoudn't matter that you call your hubby Reuby and your daughter Ruby - it's sweet!
