April 2011 Lock Rss

Congrats to you all! Can I join in? Am pregnant with #3 due about 24th April so VERY early days. Very excited and quite terrified at the moment. Have two active boys already, the youngest being 20 months old so will have my hands full.

Hope you're all doing well and looking forward to sharing the journey!

Cheers!
Hi ladies, congratulations everyone! Especially my long haul buddies Fleur and Meg! And J who has been a huge help and support to me.

I have just found out I am pregnant after 2 and a half years of TTC!!!! To get here I have had 3 laproscopic surgeries for endometriosis, 3 rounds of clomid, and we were just about to start IUI after my AF arrived, but she didnt cause I was pregnant. We had last month off as DP was away when I ovulated, so I didnt even take my clomid, but I ovulated early and here I am. According to my LMP I should be Due on the 20th of June, but since I ovulated early those dates will be brought forward once Ive had my scan next week.

Last year we fell pregnant and I was due in April 2010 (ironic I know), but I had a missed miscarriage which was absolutely devastating. So naturally I am a bit worried that it could happen again but I know there is nothing I can do about it, so Im TRYING not to think about it too much.

I have updated the list, hope I havent, missed any one.

Hi Ladies,

I am due 14 April with my second. I have a 5.5 month old son so he will be 13.5 months when the new baby arrives. I must say i am a little daunted by the thought of them so close together but it took us over 2 years to get pregnant the first time so we made the decision to not use any contraception and see what happened.
I have been feeling revolting for the last few days and know it will get worse yet so am just hoping to stay nice and busy so it goes fast - last time my morning sickness started to settle about 11 weeks so hopefully the same this time. Not feeling too tired yet thank goodness and I am lucky my son has pretty much slept thru since he was 11 weeks old and has been doing 12 hours for the past few weeks.

Omg genna how wonderful to find you here!!! And to have you me and fleur together in the same thread after all this time! Congratulations and welcome! April is a great month! I am due the 15th!

Welcome to all the new ladies! And congratulations on your pregnancy.

I hope everyone is well!!!

Just popping in to celebrate with genna!

Talk soon! Xxxx

Meg.

Oh WOW!! Genna I am so excited for you! How great it that! Exactly what happened to us too!! Maybe threatening our bods with IUI was all it took lol!! Looking forward to sharing this journey with you and Meg, and of course all the other due April ladies wub

Welcome to all the new ladies, so great that we are getting a few in this thread now. Hope everyone is feeling well. Anyone had a scan done yet? My first is not til 8th of Sept - my first OB appt.

AFM the morning sickness has turned into all day and sometimes all night sickness as well. Everytime I got up to pee last night (and it was a few times!) I thought I was gonna throw up, just had horrible nausea but also some vomiting too which is making it hard to keep it a secret at work. Haven't told anyone yet (well except you ladies and my mothers group) as we are waiting for my parents to get home to tell them first.

Hope you are all well and enjoying the first stages of pregnancy!

Fleur

Hi everyone, I was hoping to join this thread as I have just found out I am due to have my secod baby around April 18th 2011. I have a 14 month old daughter and am so excited to be having another little treasure. I did a second wee test this morning and it was positive so I am booked into the Dr tomorrow afternoon to confirm.
I did not get sick with my first baby but this time I have been nauseous and thrown up once. I have sore boobs and mega chocolate cravings. That's about it so far. Anyway Congratulations to everyone who are expecting and I look forward to sharing our journey with you all.

Just wanted to pop in and say how excited I am for those of you who have waited so long for your little miracles to happen - I admire you all so much for your patience and courage and am honoured to be sharing this experience with you. (Sorry - bit emotional at the moment with all these hormones running around)

I'm feeling pretty ordinary today, bit of a cold coming on I think, gotta love these constant Winter colds and flus...sooooo tedious!!!!

Couldn't swallow my lunch today...got about 3 mouthfulls in and then just had to spit it out. I'm thinking the beginnings of morning sickness. Didn't get it that much with 1 and 2 so who knows this time.

That's me for today. Hope you're all feeling as well as can be expected at this stage.

Cheers
Alright ladies morning sickness kicked in on Sunday and has only been getting worse - does anyone have any secrets, hints or tips to reduce or remove it that they are willing to share?

It seems to be ok if I am eating something but as soon as I stop I go back to feeling crappy.. And I don't think I can have a gingernut biscuit in my mouth all day sad

Also how long does this typically go on for and is it this bad the whole time or does it get more manageable?
Hi
Can I also join u? I am supposidly due around the 26th of April but am thinking I may be a bit further along as I have been feeling exceptionally sick and feel like I am starting to pop out already! This is my fourth child (3rd pregnancy) as I have a step child as well. My youngest DS turns two next month, then I have an 8yr old DD and 12yr old SS. We are pretty excited but want to keep it quiet for a few more months yet, going to be hard if I start showing particularily early! My DS was born premature weighing 2.1kgs at 36+4 weeks so I am thinking this bubba will be at least a few weeks early. This will be my third c-section, this time it will be planned, unlike my first which was an emergency. Anyways have any of you who have other children started showing? do you feel more sick with every pregnancy that goes along? I certainly am! I don't want to find out what I am having this time as I found out with the others, am secretly hoping for a girl but a boy would be easier as we will have hand me downs.
Gutted, I wrote I big message yesterday then when I hit add reply, the internet went down.

Thanks Fleur and Meg - so exciting

2 Blues - thanks for the warm fuzzies smile

Octoberbubs - this is my first and Im popping out already. I got busted at work yesterday by one for my firends who knew that I had been TTC. So Im a bit worried that if Im already starting to get obvious to my close friends at only 5 weeks, how long will I be able to hide it from everyone else?

Welcome all the newbies and comgratulations on your BFP's.

I heard an interesting tip yesterday: If you smell something disgusting and start to gag - SMILE - apparently it forces your gag reflex to relax so you cant gag. I was wondering if this might help with ms. Im lucky to not have full on ms yet (though everyday I feel it come on a little more and more so wont be lone now) but I tried it out last night when I saw something on TV that made me feel yuck, I smiled, and there was no more yuck feeling. So girls try it and see what happens, its easy enough to force a smile, though I guess at the time the last thing you will feel like doing is smiling!

Any way, I hope everyone is well and not feeling too terrible.
