braxton hicks vs contractions

Hi girls,

I was wondering if someone could tell me the difference between braxton hicks and contractions please.

Do they feel different? Are they in certain parts of your tummy? Do thye hurt?

Hi there,

With me braxton hicks were just my whole tummy tightening like a cramp but all over your tummy, but with contractions, they were the same tightening feeling but the were really sharp and painful also. With my braxton hicks I could go oh I am having braxton hicks and continue walking or doing stuff while having them. With contractions the pain would be so sharp and painful that I would have to stop what I was doing just to breath through them.

I don't know if this helps you or not. But that is just how mine have felt.
