Baby moon in Nz 3 hours max from Auckland

Hi ladies,

We are looking for a nice baby moon destination to head to in 1 month before our first bubs arrives. We are looking at going somewhere in the vicinity of 3 hrs or closer from Auckland and that doesn't involve flying.

Not looking to spend an excessive amount, something nice, but decent cost. Was thinking maybe Taupo... But open to suggestions ideas and what there is to do in the areas you suggest, or nice accommodation suggestions.

Check out the coromandel penisula, Taupo just doesn't do it for me, but a bach by the beach in the winter really rocks my boat! smile check out 'book a bach'

Russell, Paihia, Kerikeri in the Bay of Islands... 3 hr drive north of Auckland. Absolutely amazing place. smile

Ooo, how about great barrier island? I would love love love to go there, and just a ferry ride from Auckland smile

Waiheke island!

Waiheke is wonderful, although you may prefer to go there when you can drink wine smile
