hospitals Rss

Hi to all the Queenslanders out there!

I was just wondering if anyone had their baby at Logan Hospital.
If so, what was the staff like and the facilities?

We are trying to get in at Mater Mothers but if its too full (which we were told by Logan hospital that they are at the moment) it means we will have to go to Logan as its the closest hospital to us.

My husband and I have msiconceptions about Logan which is why we would like some feedback.

Also can someone please tell me that when you have morning sickness and have been throwing up now and then for the first two months does that affect the baby in anyway?

Renee, Qld, Mother of 2

Hi Ren76,

I threw up intermitently from week 5 to 13 and was assured that it has no ill effects on the baby. Your body has stores of many of the vitamins and your body and baby draw on those. It was recomended to me that I take Preg/Breastfeeding Vitamins if I felt my diet was inadequate. I couldn't stomach meat and often couldnt eat dinner as I felt so sick so I took them.

I have a friend that threw up all day every day for 4 months and had to have medication to stop it. Her baby was perfect in every way.

Just make sure your getting the vit and min you need and you should be fine.

Good luck getting into the hospital you want.
