WAAAAAH! So upset! Lock Rss

Do you remember how much weight you gained by 21 weeks pregnancy?

I just got weighed today for the first time since 12wks pregnant and I've gained a total 6kgs already!!!! I'm so upset about it! According to the What to Expect book, I should gain 2-3kgs in the first 20wks then 1/2kg afterward. I really don't want to gain excess weight and I've been watching what I eat. sad I'm so sad that I've gained that much and I don't want to obsess with my weight this time. I wasn't overweight before conceiving...but...sniff...6kgs!!!
I am 25 weeks and have gained 4 kg. I think at 21 weeks I had gained 3kgs.
What did the doctor say about it? did he say it was too much?

By 21 weeks I had put on about 2 kilos but I was 85 kilos to start with so best for me not to gain weight, im now 33 weeks and in total have put on 3 kilos, so only a 1 kilo weight gain since 21 weeks.

Ive read that its normal to put on between 8-15 kilos in a pregnancy, depending on what your weight was before hand and all that. As long as your eating healthy then there isnt much you can do, you will probably find now that your weight gain will slow until the last few weeks where you will get bigger, well not necessarily gain weight but your baby will grow heaps.

My doctor told me the other day that I dont need to gain anymore weight but my belly will get bigger because the baby will grow quite a bit, something like 200 grams a week or something, but I actually dont have to eat more or gain weight myself.

Try not to stress about it smile

That's not that bad i gained 15kg by 20 weeks.
I had my 28week checkup last week and i've put on 6kg since 8weeks pregnant im now 57kgs smile

Really? Was that fluid retention or you were just one of those people whose body stored everything??

My midwife wasn't concerned, she said my BMI is 24.7 which is apparently not bad. But for ME personally, I'm quite stressed about it! I gained 19kgs with DS and when I conceived this time, I was still 7kgs heavier than pre-pregnancy with DS. I'm determined not to slowly become bigger (weight-wise, not pregnancy!) hence the stress. I just want to gain baby-weight this time around!!!

Oh, I lost 2kgs in the first trimester then gained them back by 13wks, so I've counted my weight-gain from the weight I lost because technically, I still re-gained that weight.

I know my boobs are a massive 10cms bigger than pre-conception so I can attribute some weight-gain to them (lol) but yeah, I'm grasping at straws. I still eat desserts etc, but I really am watching what I eat and definitely am not eating more than I was eating before I fell pregnant!

Oh yeah, that's what happened with DS. In the last trimester, I was eating an ENTIRE family block of chocolate pretty much on a daily basis. And I was matching DH's meal sizes...

Looking back, I didn't even 'look' fat during pregnancy, but I certainly was! haha This time, I look fat more than pregnant and seem to be gaining on my waist and my stomach is like, thickening rather than pushing outward!! sad
I'm nearly 30wks and ive gained 6kg so far...at 21wks i think id gained around 3kg. With DS i gained 6kg between 18-22wks. I gained 17kg all up with him BUT i started out 10kg heavier with this pregnancy than with my first, so I was expecting to not gain as much and im very happy that i havnt. I dont really eat healthy, i eat heaps of fruit and veges and loads of healthy stuff but i also eat alot of junk, especially sweet stuff
It sucks hey?! sad

Im pretty sure I'd put on about 2-3kg but 20ish weeks. Im up to 8kg now.
I put on 32kg all up with DS, so Im ok with 8kg so far, but I did start out 14kg heavier this time! sad
I can def see the extra weight in my arms, chest and legs...
Can't wait till bub is born and I can start losing some weight!
xx

why are you getting weighted? I just said no your not weighing me every appointment forget it.... they didn't until the day before the c section.... with my last....
I lost 1kg with DS2 lol
and this time, not sure. But i'm scared even though i lost 5/6kgs the first 14 weeks
