bub popping in and out Rss

im 36weeks along now (yay nearing the end!!) with #3 and the MW hasnt recorded bub as engaged yet, still writting NE on my card. By this stage with both my other bubs they were 3/5 above the brim and were steadily dropping. thing is with this bub sometimes i feel it drop down..to the point where i cant physically get my legs together because the head is so low in my pelvis (def recognise THAT feeling) but then a few hours later it sortof pops back up again! has anyone else had this? im assumeing its due to my over stretched 'roomy' uterus lol but im worried bubs not going to drop and stay there
yep i went from 5/5 for 2 weeks and at last appointment i was 3/5 im 39 weeks tomorrow
hmm but your bubs still partially engaged mine seems to pop right out and it happens at least a few times a day.. at first i thought i may just be the position bubs in but i got the MW to show me how to feel bubs head when i lay down..def head drops right in there, then i check again when i feel it pop out..and yup its completely out again sad up down up down and i can see it too if i look in the mirror my tummy actually fully drops down then springs back up again
With DS I was 6cm dilated, about 2hrs 45 min into my labour which had started spontaneously and he wasn't engaged at all and was still floating around in there (which made working out I was 6cm dilated rather "interesting" lol), although fortunately head down ... 45 min later I was holding him in my arms! When they say that some babies don't engage at all right up until the point they're coming out, they're not kidding.

Leisa.
Both of my boys (#3 and #4) never engaged until i was in far into active labour.
Good luck, it is worrying but im sure everything will be fine.

ok sounds like its not too unusual smile this preg has just been so different to my other 2. i feel a little better now. so you ladies didnt need to be induced because bub wasnt engaged? i really really dont want to have to be induced.
No i didn't need to be induced.
But #3 was 14 days late and i ended up having a c/section for him.
And #4 was (thankfully!) only 5 days late and was vbac.
With both i had about a day of prelabour before having them the following day.

I'm pretty sure this is what my bub is doing too. Last week I thought for sure he/she had dropped but then the next was back up and same again yesterday.
The lumps that I've determined are the bum and leg bundle were much lower and bathroom trips were every hour, at least. But then the "bumps" were higher again and toilet trips less frequent.
I have a midwife appointment today and was going to ask if it is possible for them to engage and then disengage, especially being a 3rd.
I know they don't need to be engaged to go into labour, especially subsequent pregnancies, but hadn't heard of them popping in and out.
I'll let you know tonight...

cheers i have a MW app today too so we can compare notes wink
had my app and im only just engaged (will prob pop out again) MW said thats its normal for subsequent pregs for this to happen right up until labour (as some of you lovely ladies have said) but that it doesnt give any indication to if ill go over..it really makes no difference apparently, said shell prob do a S&S on my due date to hopefully avoid me going over to far smile ahh well at least its normal. stupid roomy uterus lol

oh she also said that if bub gets past 3/5 engaged it prob wont pop back up completely but will still move a little bit.
My DD didn't engage until well into active labour and she was 4 days early
